The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jouban takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jouban keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Roger Jouban seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kavanaue shoots in looking for a takedown but Jouban manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kavanaue's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kavanaue lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jouban is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
An attempted straight right counter from Kavanaue misses the target.
Jouban wants to clinch but Kavanaue slips to the side
and Kavanaue counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jouban uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kavanaue.
Kavanaue shoots in but no luck this time.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jouban looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kavanaue swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Jouban tries to close the distance and clinch but Kavanaue swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jouban tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kavanaue lands a jab to Jouban's midsection.
Kavanaue scores with the left hand. Jouban knows he should have avoided that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kavanaue lands an uppercut, right on the button! Jouban tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Jason Kavanaue was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
