Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pat Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Hagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Hagan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pat Hyde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Hagan!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Hyde gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hagan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hagan controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hyde wants to stand and escape but Hagan is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hagan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hyde swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hagan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hagan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hyde to see if he's OK.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Hagan. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Jim Hagan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hagan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
