Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Page!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Page.

Page gets a double leg takedown into Pennington's guard.
Pennington looking to hit a scissor sweep but Page is one step ahead there.
Pennington is working hard here to advance position.

Page stands up and waves to Pennington to follow him.
Page lands with a good body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Page misses with a double jab

and Pennington counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Page slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Page wants to sweep here but Pennington controlling him for the moment.
Pennington will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Page not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pennington stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Page swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Page manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Page misses with a leg kick

and Pennington counters by clinching up.
Pennington has Page pressed against the cage, preventing Page from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pennington is looking to take this one to the mat.

Page lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pennington regains full guard. Nicely done.

Pennington working for a triangle but Page defends it easily.
Page missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pennington has a closed guard, preventing Page from standing up.
Pennington pulls Page in close to prevent any damage.

Page trying to control but Pennington is working from the bottom.
Pennington looking to hit a scissor sweep but Page is one step ahead there.
Pennington manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Page manages to get himself to full guard.

Page wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Pennington manages to pass to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pennington is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Page has managed to free his arm - good work.
Pennington prevents Page from standing back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Page pushes Pennington off but Pennington dives into side control.
You can see the frustration on Page's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jimmy Page will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Pennington wants to clinch up but Page keeps it at a distance.
Pennington moves in looking to clinch but Page pushes him off.
Page throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pennington counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Pennington drives through and clinches with Page against the cage.
Pennington tries to pull guard but Page forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Pennington lands a nice knee to the body.
Pennington wants to get back to striking at distance but Page won't allow it.

Page is trying to trip Pennington. He has hold of a leg but Pennington is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Page persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Page must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pennington is trying to control the position but Page postures up.
Page is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.


Pennington is rocked!
Page is working Pennington over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Oh Pennington is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pennington looking to control but Page passes into half guard.

Page decides to stand and escape the position.
Jimmy Page is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Page knocks out Pennington with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Page before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Page picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jimmy Page!
A very excited looking Jimmy Page rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
