PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stone The Real (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Tillion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Real has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The key to victory for Stone The Real has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stone The Real !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jared Tillion!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tillion has his takedown stuffed
and The Real counters with an inside leg kick.
The Real connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Tillion shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The Real on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if The Real tries to get out of the position.
The Real is breathing heavily.
Tillion looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tillion stands up from half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Tillion gets a clinch.

Tillion gets control of The Real 's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tillion will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Tillion is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tillion controlling the action here.
The Real definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Tillion decides to stand and escape the position.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tillion.
The Real defending against the ground and pound.
Tillion slows the pace down.

Tillion stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Tillion closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming The Real to the mat! The Real manages to get full guard.

Tillion passes into half guard.
Well, if Tillion is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Tillion is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. The Real doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tillion.
The Real keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Tillion is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for The Real !
Tillion thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Tillion tries a head kick but it misses.

Tillion wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by The Real , who protects the arm well.
Jared Tillion has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tillion is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but The Real is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Tillion takes a little break here. The Real wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The Real knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tillion on the ground.

Tillion has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Tillion throws a sloppy head kick and The Real moves out of range easily.

Tillion fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. The Real sprawls well initially but Tillion persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tillion with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Tillion passes to full mount!

Tillion jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but The Real manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Tillion slows the pace down.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tillion misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
A lull in the action here as Tillion stalls from top position.
Tillion sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but The Real is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Tillion is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Tillion tries for a kimura but The Real is defending well.

Tillion decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tillion misses with an attempted mid kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jared Tillion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! The Real 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



Tillion shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Real is trying to defend but Tillion finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Tillion takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The Real blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tillion.
Tillion throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tillion sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tillion not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Tillion is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and The Real defends it well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from The Real .
Tillion tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Tillion moves into the clinch.
The Real gets underhooks to prevent Tillion's takedown attempt.

Tillion works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Tillion throwing strikes from guard but The Real blocks nicely.

Tillion decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on The Real , up you get!

Tillion has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tillion is trying to force a seperation but The Real has the dominant position.
Tillion effectively controlling the action here.
Tillion has The Real pushed against the cage.
Tillion working hard to break the clinch.

Tillion turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

The Real managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Tillion.
Tillion tries to score with some ground and pound. The Real controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Tillion looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Tillion stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Jared Tillion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tillion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The Real blocks a head kick by Tillion.

Tillion looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tillion tries to clinch up but The Real circles away and keeps his distance.
Tillion fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Stone The Real has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stone The Real has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jared Tillion.

Tillion looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for The Real !

Tillion is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, The Real has escaped the position, nice work there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tillion passes to full mount! That's big trouble for The Real !

Jared Tillion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tillion winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
