Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Beck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beck comes to the cage accompanied by Sepultura - Roots Boody Roots. Shephard has chosen You All Everybody as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beck uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shephard.
Beck dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Beck looks to land a combination but Shephard avoids it well.
Shephard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Beck did well to prevent Shephard getting side control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Beck manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beck ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shephard moves away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Beck ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Beck thuds his shin into the meat of Shephard's side.
Beck connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Beck throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Shephard scores with a punch to the head.

It appears Beck was looking to counter with a kick there.
Shephard doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Beck counters with a crisp right hand that drops Shephard! Beck lets Shephard back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Jack Shephard has been cut.
Hans Beck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Shephard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beck cracks Shephard with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Beck has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Shephard to stand back up!
Shephard is rocked!
Beck drops Shephard with a naaaaasty hook - Shephard is in real trouble here! Beck dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hans Beck!
Hans Beck decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
