The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kumar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rampage's guard.
Kumar lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Rampage looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kumar puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Rampage looking for submissions off his back.
Kumar is taking a breather. Rampage says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kumar lands with a punch from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rampage looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Kumar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kumar has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rampage swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Kumar lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Rampage is desperately trying to improve his position but Kumar has a good base and remains in mount.
Kumar lands a nice shot to the head.
Kumar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kumar is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rampage can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Rampage is rocked!

Kumar working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Rampage turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Kumar off and cradles Rampage's limp body as Kumar celebrates with his corner.
