Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Whitley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daley Sinclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pierre Whitley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daley Sinclair!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitley looks for a takedown but Sinclair sprawls well.

Whitley gets a takedown into half guard.
Whitley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Sinclair is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Whitley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Whitley's back!
Whitley rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Sinclair seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Whitley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Whitley is trying to get back to full guard.
Whitley is working hard here to advance position.

Sinclair perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Sinclair is working for a kimura but Whitley is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sinclair stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Whitley tries to clinch up but Sinclair circles away and keeps his distance.

Sinclair closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Whitley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sinclair is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Whitley's shoulder. That is not cool.
Sinclair working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Sinclair creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Whitley sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Sinclair has control of an arm but Whitley manages to advance to Sinclair's back!

Sinclair looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Sinclair tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Whitley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sinclair is looking to escape.
Sinclair tries to reverse the position but Whitley maintains control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Whitley is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sinclair can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sinclair is trying desperately to improve position.
Whitley landing strikes from the mount and Sinclair is in trouble!
Whitley thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
You get the feeling that Sinclair really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Sinclair tries to hold on but Whitley pushes him away.
Whitley lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sinclair wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Whitley.
Poor strikes thrown by Whitley there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pierre Whitley dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Whitley closes the distance and clinches up with Sinclair, looking for a takedown. Whitley pushes Sinclair against the cage but Sinclair circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Whitley throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Sinclair let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Sinclair shoots in and gets a takedown into Whitley's guard.

Sinclair decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Whitley enables Sinclair to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Whitley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sinclair pushes down on Whitley's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Whitley wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whitley is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sinclair's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sinclair's back!

Whitley somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Sinclair is trying to break free.
Whitley is not going to allow Sinclair to sit and survive in this position.

You can see the frustration on Sinclair's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Pierre Whitley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Whitley thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Sinclair avoids the strikes from Whitley.
Whitley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Whitley shoots for a takedown but Sinclair saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sinclair tries a head kick but it misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Whitley.

Sinclair changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Whitley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Whitley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sinclair smiles and moves away.

Sinclair throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Whitley was covering up waiting for the punch and Sinclair finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Sinclair decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Whitley, up you get!

Daley Sinclair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Whitley.

Sinclair clinches with his opponent.

Sinclair lands a body punch.
Sinclair is pushing Whitley up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Sinclair jumps guard.
Sinclair manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Whitley manages to get himself to full guard.


Whitley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Whitley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Sinclair is looking to work some ground and pound but Whitley has wrist control.

Sinclair stands and steps away. Whitley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Sinclair clinches.

Whitley won't allow Sinclair to sweep him here.

Sinclair has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Whitley off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sinclair fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Whitley to the ground. Sinclair is now in Whitley's guard.
Daley Sinclair has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pierre Whitley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
