The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Mouba. Brooks does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Brooks has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Brooks shoots in but Mouba avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brooks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mouba has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Brooks crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mouba - the referee stops the clock and Brooks gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mouba. Brooks manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
