Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Macho Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Macho Alpha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, CJ Stone!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Stone not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Alpha knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stone on the ground.
Alpha is staying active underneath Stone, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Alpha is looking to control Stone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Alpha avoid being mounted?
Alpha is trying to stand back up but Stone is controlling him
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Stone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alpha doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stone.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Stone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Stone pushes Alpha up against the cage in a clinch.
Alpha wants a takedown but no success here.

Stone gets control of Alpha's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Stone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Alpha could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Alpha throws an elbow that misses. Stone uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Alpha's guard. Nice move by Stone!

Stone has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alpha is proving hard to escape from.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Alpha throws a hook but Stone blocks it.

Alpha gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stone regains guard.
Alpha throws a strike but Stone rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Stone looks for a takedown but Alpha sprawls well.
Alpha has a takedown stuffed.
Alpha misses with an uppercut.
A big left from Alpha misses.
Stone fails with a takedown attempt.
Alpha throws a poor cross that misses
and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Alpha was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Stone will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Macho Alpha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of CJ Stone.
Alpha is looking to chop away at Stone's legs.

Stone lands with a nice combination. Alpha backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Macho Alpha has been cut.
Macho Alpha is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Alpha shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Alpha showed some decent athleticism there.

Alpha might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Stone wants to control from the top but Alpha keeps moving.
Alpha looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Stone puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Stone throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Alpha because Stone loaded up on that one.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Poor strikes thrown by Stone there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Stone throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stone cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stone cracks Alpha with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Stone jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Alpha manages to avoid the submission attempt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

CJ Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Macho Alpha's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Stone moves out of range of the strikes.
Alpha stuffs the takedown attempt from Stone. Stone gets slowly back to his feet.
Stone plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Stone rushes Alpha and presses him up against the cage.

Stone manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Stone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Alpha throws a strike but Stone rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Alpha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stone wants to stand but Alpha is controlling his posture from full guard.
Stone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alpha wants to get back to his feet but Stone is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stone is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Stone trying to control but Alpha is working from the bottom.
Stone stops Alpha from standing up.
Stone engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone wants to stand but Alpha has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone checks a low kick from Alpha.
Alpha falls off balance throwing a combination

so Stone counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Alpha keeping full guard, as Stone tries to pass.
Stone working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Alpha's head.

Stone drops back looking for a leg! Alpha is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alpha manages to kick Stone off! Stone jumps back into Alpha's guard.

Macho Alpha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Alpha makes his way to full guard, as Stone worked for a kimura.
Stone throws a big elbow that misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Alpha keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
CJ Stone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
