Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rashad Byers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hulk Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byers swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Hogan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Byers to the ground. Hogan is now in Byers's guard.
Hogan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Byers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hogan stands up out of Byers's guard for a moment - Byers manages to land a nice upkick.
Hogan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Byers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hogan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hogan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Byers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Byers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Byers!

Hogan tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Byers working the head with strikes.
Hogan tries to buck Byers off but Byers is having none of it.
Byers landing strikes.
Hogan is looking to regain half guard here but Byers keeps moving and retains side control.
Hogan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Byers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hogan tries to escape but Byers is in control.
Byers advances nicely into full mount.
Hogan working to try and regain half guard.
Hogan bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Byers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hogan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Byers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well, if Byers is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've been hearing that Byers has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Hogan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Byers is keen to just control but Hogan is a slippery customer.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Byers is taking a breather. Hogan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Byers throwing shots but Hogan is blocking nicely.

Hogan looking for subs from the bottom but Byers mounts him!
Hogan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Byers looking to control but Hogan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hogan is desperately trying to improve his position but Byers has a good base and remains in mount.
Hogan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Byers scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hogan?
Byers lands a heavy elbow.
Hogan tries to reverse the position but Byers maintains control.
A nice elbow there by Byers.
Byers looking to control but Hogan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Byers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hogan is trying to escape the mount.
Hogan is bucking up trying to escape but Byers cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


Hogan is rocked!
Byers lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Hogan! Byers sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Hogan and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rashad Byers!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Rashad Byers waved his t-shirt featuring Alcatraz Apparel's logo in front of the cameras.
