Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Melekh David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lester Green!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Melekh David has been cut.
Melekh David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

David shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Green tries to get to full guard but David has control of the leg.
Green regains full guard. Nicely done.
David postures up in Green's guard and throws a big left but Green blocks it.
Green working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from David.
Green keeping moving, preventing David from controlling successfully.
David advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
David moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Green prevents David from improving position.

You can see the frustration on Green's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Green manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Green is looking for a sweep. David is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
David sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Green tries to get to full guard but David has control of the leg.
Still in half guard, David seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Green holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
David tries to pass the half guard into mount. Green knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Green tries to roll over but David keeps him under control.
Green is staying active underneath David, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
David scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Green misses with an attempted mid kick.
David is looking to clinch.
Green moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
David scores with a spinning back kick!
David looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Green throws a nice inside leg kick.
David lands with a cross.
A jab from Green does it's job there.
David lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Green pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
David is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
David throws an overhand right that lands on Green's shoulder, as Green tries to avoid the shot.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Green.
David looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

David looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Green!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
David tries to move to full mount but Green actually manages to regain half guard.
Green trying to control but David postures up.
David prevents Green from improving his position.

David passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Green!
David tries to control but Green wriggling away.
David wants to control but Green has made it back to half guard. Nice work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Melekh David dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nice shot lands for David.
Green misses with a body kick.
Green cracks David with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Green.
David throws a half hearted mid kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Green.
David closes the distance and clinches up with Green, looking for a takedown. David pushes Green against the cage but Green circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Green throws a push kick but David slaps the foot to one side.
David lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Green tries to land a front kick but David steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Green is on the wrong end of a nice combination from David.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Green throws the kick towards the body but David avoids it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Green or perhaps it was just good defense by David, which made it look bad.
David misses with a jab, cross combination.

Green throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Green throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
David tries to counter with a takedown but Green is quick to defend against it.
Green walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. David checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Green fakes a jab and throws a low kick but David checks it well.
David looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Green pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick by Green misses

so David counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

David got a little sloppy there for a moment and Green has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, David has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted.
David lands a couple of digs.
Green keeping full guard, as David tries to pass.
David in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Green looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Green is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

David advances to half guard.
David wants to control but Green is keeping him busy.
David tries to pass the half guard into mount. Green knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Green wants to get back to full guard.
Green preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Green is not content to let David control the position.

Green trying to hold on to David's head to control him but David postures up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
David trying to control the action but Green is working from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lester Green seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Green circles away from the clinch attempt.
Green fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Green fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
David swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Green.
Green tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Green gets off balance looking for a body kick

and David counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Melekh David overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Green escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. David gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


David throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Green throws the kick towards the body but David avoids it.
Green throws a chopping leg kick but David manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A nice leg kick lands there from Green.
David misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Green.
A solid body kick from Green.
David fails with a takedown attempt.
Green ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Green misses with a body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
David throws a quick inside leg kick.
Green drops his hands momentarily and David takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
David connects with a right hand. Green shakes it off.
David misses with a low kick.
Green looks to land a body kick but David moved away.

A nice inside leg kick there by David. That's going to slow Green down.
Green blocks a jab.
Green tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
David avoids a kick to the body.
David lands the left hand.
David fails with an attempt to clinch.
David connects with a leg kick. Green looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Green misses with an attempted mid kick.
David moves out of range as Green strikes.
A jab from Green misses.
David turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Green on the wrong end of a nice hook.
David lands with a slapping head kick.
Green throws a body kick that misses.
David lands with a shot to the body.
Lester Green has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Green clobbers David with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Green! David is out on his feet! Green rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - David is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! David is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lester Green!
Lester Green decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
