The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Talbert.
Talbert throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Brandon lands a jab to Talbert's midsection.
Brandon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Talbert swivels and escapes.
A little feinted left hand from Talbert on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Brandon misses with a wild combination.
Brandon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brandon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brandon doesn't manage to clinch there - Talbert circles away.
Talbert swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Brandon looks to clinch
and Brandon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Brandon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Talbert counters with a straight right hand.
Brandon slips a jab from Talbert.
Sam Talbert is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Brandon looks for the body kick but Talbert saw that one coming.
Brandon wants to clinch but Talbert slips to the side
and Talbert counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Talbert uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Brandon lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Brandon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Talbert swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brandon throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Talbert counter with a right hand.
A nice leg kick lands there from Brandon.
Brandon looks to land a combination. Talbert sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Brandon misses with a takedown
and Talbert counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've been told by Talbert's head coaches at The Power Plant that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sam Talbert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buddy Brandon.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brandon throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Talbert counters with a straight right hand.

Talbert cracks Brandon with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
