Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shannon Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casimiro Ambrogi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Casimiro Ambrogi!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ambrogi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Page tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ambrogi is looking to take a break and control but Page is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ambrogi is trying to ground and pound but Page uses the momentary lack of control by Ambrogi to regain half guard.
Ambrogi is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ambrogi wants to control the pace but Page is squirming around nicely.
Ambrogi wants to control but instead Page manages to regain half guard.

Page bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ambrogi's guard.

Ambrogi is looking to stand up but Page isn't so interested in that idea.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Page accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Page could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ambrogi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Page defends it easily.

Ambrogi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Page gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ambrogi has control of Page's left arm, preventing Page from doing any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Page moves into the clinch successfully.

Page misses with a knee strike.

Ambrogi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ambrogi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Page lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Page's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Page avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Page postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Page trying to control the position from guard on top but Ambrogi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Page makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Page throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ambrogi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Page is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Page wants to get up but he can't break Ambrogi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ambrogi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ambrogi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Page to the ground. Ambrogi is now in Page's guard.
Ambrogi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Page looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ambrogi connects with a couple of short punches.

Ambrogi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Page is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ambrogi, into his guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ambrogi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Page drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ambrogi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ambrogi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ambrogi!

Casimiro Ambrogi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Page tries for a takedown but Ambrogi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ambrogi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Page's guard.

Ambrogi is keen to just control but Page is a slippery customer.
Ambrogi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Page with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Page tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Page swats away the attempt to clinch by Ambrogi.
Ambrogi looks to land a combination. Page sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Shannon Page has been cut.

Ambrogi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Page is trying to stand.
Page is refusing to be controlled, as Ambrogi sits in half guard.
Ambrogi uses his free foot to push down on Page's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Page.
Ambrogi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Page squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Page bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Page got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ambrogi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Page has managed to get both his arms back between Ambrogi's legs - danger averted.
Shannon Page has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Casimiro Ambrogi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
