Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akeju Abayomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sairanix Lokren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lokren takes a swing at Abayomi's ribcage but misses.

Lokren rushes Abayomi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Abayomi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Abayomi dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Abayomi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lokren tries to score a power double leg takedown but Abayomi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lokren somewhat.
Abayomi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Lokren gets caught flat footed, as Abayomi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lokren is trying to control the position but Abayomi postures up.
Abayomi sitting in guard here, content to control.
Abayomi passes into half guard.
Abayomi scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Abayomi prevents Lokren from improving his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lokren can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Abayomi is looking for a kimura but Lokren is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Abayomi to get the leverage.
Lokren has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Abayomi is working away from the top position though.
Lokren is trying to stand.

Abayomi is trying for a kimura here. Lokren looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Abayomi wins by kimura!
