Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Jameson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rocky Jameson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bee Jay!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jameson throws a shot from downtown. Jay moves away and avoids it.
Jameson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jay.
Jameson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jay's head backwards.

Jay closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jay lands in his opponent's guard.
Jay slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jay postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jameson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jay, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jameson throws an elbow that misses. Jay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jameson's guard. Nice move by Jay!


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jay not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Jameson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jameson is looking to stand up but Jay isn't so interested in that idea.
Jay controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jameson is trying to control the position but Jay postures up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jameson holds on and takes a little breather.
Jay slips nicely into half guard.
Jay is pressing down on Jameson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jameson is holding on for now.
Jay passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jameson!

Jameson is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Jay is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jameson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jameson shrugs it off.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jay is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jameson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jameson really wants to buck Jay off and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bee Jay dominated that round.
That's time! Jameson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jameson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Jameson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jay napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jameson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jay sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Jay isn't going anywhere.
Jay sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jameson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jameson is just content to waste time from the top position. Jay takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Jay pulls Jameson in close to prevent any damage.
Jameson throws an elbow that misses. Jay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jameson's guard. Nice move by Jay!

Jay is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jay thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jay slips nicely into half guard.
Jay controlling the pace.

Jay seems to be looking for submissions.
Jay works his way into side control.

Jay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Jameson's face as Jay controls the position.

Jay tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Jay has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jameson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jay yanks on the arm and Jameson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jay.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bee Jay!
In his post fight interview, Bee Jay started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
