Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakbar Shamuli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hakbar Shamuli!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shamuli enables Miller to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shamuli manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Miller is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Shamuli is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shamuli can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Miller controls the pace.
Miller prevents Shamuli from getting back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Shamuli shoots in for a double leg but Miller sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shamuli keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Shamuli gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Miller controls from within his opponent's guard.
Miller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Shamuli wants to stand and escape but Miller is having none of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shamuli can do anything to dispel that myth.
Shamuli wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Miller manages to pass to side control.
Miller slips a nice elbow through Shamuli's hands, connecting with Shamuli's forehead.
Shamuli tries to kick Miller off in order to stand up. Miller Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Shamuli wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Miller is working Shamuli over with some ground and pound from side control.
Shamuli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Miller creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Shamuli tries to escape but Miller is in control.

Miller is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shamuli has escaped the position, nice work there.
Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shamuli keeps working.
Miller in side control, throwing shots but Shamuli defends.
Shamuli bucks up and tries to throw Miller off but instead Miller has got his back!
Shamuli wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller controls the action.
Shamuli is trying to get back to his feet but Miller has full control of the position and if anything, Shamuli has just worked his way into a worse spot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Miller is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Shamuli. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Miller is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Shamuli up.
Shamuli trying to get back to his feet but Miller is in full control for now.
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Miller lands punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Miller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Shamuli.
Shamuli gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Miller connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Miller is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shamuli can do to turn this around?
Shamuli goes for a double leg but Miller avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Miller continues to drive forward.
Chris Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakbar Shamuli.

Miller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shamuli looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Miller is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shamuli keeps working.

Shamuli is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Miller wants to control but Shamuli is keeping him busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Miller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Miller showed some decent athleticism there.
Shamuli scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Miller manages to mount him!
You get the feeling that Shamuli really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Miller lands a couple of good shots and Shamuli has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Shamuli is trying to get back to his feet but Miller has full control of the position and if anything, Shamuli has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Shamuli is rocked!

Miller cracks Shamuli with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Shamuli from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Shamuli is still in real trouble! Can Miller finish him?
Shamuli is trying to get back to his feet but Miller has full control of the position and if anything, Shamuli has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Miller lands a good shot there. Shamuli covers up! Miller smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Shamuli to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Miller jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Miller!
A relieved looking Chris Miller thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Hakbar Shamuli stepped up to the mic, saying 'Needa Practice More'.
