Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Corll!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pikku Kakkipylly!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Kakkipylly makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Corll really felt that one!

Corll fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kakkipylly is out of range.

Good leg kick by Kakkipylly there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kakkipylly has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kakkipylly there as he acknowledges the shot.
A lazy left from Corll finds it's target.

and Kakkipylly counters with a head kick. That will keep Corll thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Pikku Kakkipylly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kakkipylly throws a fast counter high kick but Corll manages to duck under it in time.

That kick from Corll tenderised Kakkipylly's leg. Kakkipylly is trying to keep his angry face on.
Corll fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kakkipylly has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Corll closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kakkipylly circles away.

That was a close round but I would say that Dean Corll will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Corll lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kakkipylly backs up against the ropes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Corll shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Kakkipylly is on queer street and Corll is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
