Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benjamin BK!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
BK misses with a straight right.
BK misses the shot to the body.
BK throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
BK takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
BK scores with a decent looking hook.
Diaz's coach down at The Axis of Evil was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Diaz's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Diaz jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A little feinted left hand from BK on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Diaz misses with a low kick as BK jumps back.
BK throws the left hand but Diaz avoids the punch easily.
The fighters circling - BK throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Diaz avoids the body shot from BK.
Benjamin BK seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
BK misses with a straight right.
BK fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Diaz digs a good hook to BK's body.
Nice shot by BK.
BK stuns Diaz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
BK connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've been told by BK's head coaches at Spetznaz Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
BK smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
BK throws a hook but Diaz avoids it easily.
Diaz ducks right into an uppercut from BK.
BK throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diaz takes a head kick and keeps coming.
BK takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
BK jabs Diaz right on the nose. Diaz blinks but takes it well.
Diaz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
BK lands with a cross.


Diaz is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
BK cracks Diaz with a left hook right on the temple and Diaz goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! BK lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Diaz is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Benjamin BK!
A relieved looking Benjamin BK thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
