The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battistoni tries to land a front kick but Petrikov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Battistoni has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Sweat Lodge in the buildup to the fight.
Battistoni avoids the head kick by Petrikov.
Battistoni swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Petrikov scoring well with a low kick there.
A telegraphed right hand from Battistoni misses the target.
Battistoni works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Petrikov loads up on a big right hand but Battistoni slips the punch.
Petrikov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Battistoni avoids the head kick by Petrikov.
Battistoni takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Battistoni fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petrikov manages to avoid it.
Petrikov lands a two punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Battistoni is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Battistoni throws a hook to the side of Petrikov's head but Petrikov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Battistoni digs a good body shot into Petrikov's ribs.

Battistoni lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Petrikov throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Petrikov just misses with a punch to the body.
Battistoni lands with a nice body punch.
Petrikov looks winded!
