Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arnost Paskalev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Vos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paskalev comes to the cage accompanied by The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arnost Paskalev!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jake Vos!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paskalev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vos as he jumps to the side.
Vos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Paskalev.
Paskalev moves away from the strike by Vos.
Paskalev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vos sprawls and moves away.
Paskalev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Vos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vos stuffs the takedown attempt from Paskalev. Paskalev gets slowly back to his feet.
Vos unleashes a big counter combination but Paskalev bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arnost Paskalev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Paskalev has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Paskalev there as he acknowledges the shot.
Vos has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Paskalev is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Vos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Vos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jake Vos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vos looks to score with a jab to the body but Paskalev is just out of range.
Paskalev avoids the body shot from Vos.
Vos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vos throws a hook to the side of Paskalev's head but Paskalev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Paskalev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vos defends well and Paskalev ends up having to push Vos into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Vos throws out a counter right but Paskalev avoids it with no problem.

The fighters circling - Vos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Paskalev tries to counter with a takedown but Vos is quick to defend against it.

Paskalev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vos sprawls and moves away.

Vos lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A combination from Vos does no damage.
Paskalev throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

No joy there for Vos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Paskalev tries to counter with a takedown but Vos is quick to defend against it.
Paskalev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vos throws a combination that misses

and Paskalev counters with a single leg into guard. Vos didn't expect that.

Vos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Paskalev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Vos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paskalev's guard.

Vos stands and throws Paskalev's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vos trying to control the action but Paskalev is working from the bottom.

Paskalev tries to bench press Vos off him but Vos keeps the position.

Paskalev is looking for a sweep.
Vos wants to control for a moment but Paskalev uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Paskalev is pressing down on Vos's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paskalev moves away.
Paskalev appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Vos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Paskalev dives in and scores a takedown into Vos's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vos is looking for a triangle but Paskalev pushes his legs off easily.
Vos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Paskalev lands a couple of digs.

Vos has momentary wrist control but Paskalev slips an elbow through the middle.
Paskalev wants to control from the top but Vos keeps moving.

Paskalev avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Vos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Paskalev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Paskalev has managed to get both his arms back between Vos's legs - danger averted.
Paskalev works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Paskalev wants to free his trapped foot but Vos is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Vos pushes Paskalev off and gets back to his feet.

Vos misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Paskalev counters with a stiff right hand.
Paskalev missing with a left hand there. Vos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vos wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vos is looking to regain half guard here but Paskalev keeps moving and retains side control.
A lull in the action here as Paskalev stalls from top position.
Vos is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Paskalev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paskalev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vos struggling a bit here.
Vos is looking to regain half guard here but Paskalev keeps moving and retains side control.
Vos takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Arnost Paskalev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Vos tries to buck Paskalev off but Paskalev is having none of it.
Vos manages to work his way to half guard, despite Paskalev's best efforts.
Vos is refusing to be controlled, as Paskalev sits in half guard.
Vos tries to get to full guard but Paskalev has control of the leg.

Vos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Paskalev is looking for a kimura but Vos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Paskalev to get the leverage.

Vos keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Paskalev wants to free his trapped foot but Vos is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Paskalev is working hard here to advance position.

A looping hook to the body misses from Vos. Paskalev does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jake Vos seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Vos throws a lazy right hand but Paskalev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Paskalev counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vos won't be happy with that.

Paskalev tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Paskalev trying to control the position but Vos is working away.
Paskalev is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Vos is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Vos is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Paskalev off and has taken his back!

Vos sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Paskalev taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jake Vos!

Jake Vos seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Arnost Paskalev stepped up to the mic, saying 'Honey Badger needs sleep now'.
