PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Blow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blow kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Slippin. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Blow on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Blow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Page as he avoids it easily.
Page let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Page lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Blow at a distance.
Blow takes a swing at Page's ribcage but misses.

Blow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Page's guard.
Page is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Blow is controlling him.
We've been hearing that Blow has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Blow is looking to counter the offense by Page and move into the clinch.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Page.

Page takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Page cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oh Blow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters circle momentarily. Page darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

BOOM! Page lands a beautiful left hook that drops Blow. Blow tries to recover but Page is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Blow lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Post fight, Dennis Page took to the microphone: 'George Kelly the pikey is coming for you'.
