Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerrell Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jerrell Woods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benjamin Green!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Green manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Green goes for a double leg but Woods avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Woods continues to drive forward.
Woods avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Woods tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Green manages to circle out of the way.

Green closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Woods's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Woods working for a triangle but Green defends it easily.
Green wants to control from the top but Woods keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Woods could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Woods has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Green can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Woods is looking for a triangle here but Green uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Woods wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Green creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Woods manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green wants to control but Woods is keeping him busy.
Woods wants to improve his position but Green is controlling well.
Green wants to take a breather but Woods is having none of it.
Woods tries to kick Green off but Green keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Green is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Woods won't allow Green to pass to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Woods makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Woods.
Green trying to move into half guard but instead Woods has managed to sweep!


Green is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Woods thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Woods is one step ahead there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Woods is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Woods shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Green sprawls well. Green wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Woods gets slowly back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Woods tries to score a power double leg takedown but Green sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Woods somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benjamin Green dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Green is looking to clinch.
Woods was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Green shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Woods as he jumps to the side.
Woods drops down looking for a counter takedown but Green sprawls and moves away.

Woods gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Green to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Benjamin Green has got the better of the ground game so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Green accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Woods's head.
Green trying to control but Woods is working from the bottom.

Woods working for a triangle but Green defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Green sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Woods working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Green doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Green manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Woods might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Woods keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Woods has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Green should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Woods has tightened it up now! Green should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jerrell Woods!
In defeat, Benjamin Green stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back next time!'.
