Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clement Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeronigy Patrish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeronigy Patrish has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Clement Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeronigy Patrish!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patrish gets the takedown into side control.
Wright takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Patrish slows the pace down.
Wright tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Patrish wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Patrish landing strikes.
Wright is looking to regain half guard here but Patrish keeps moving and retains side control.
Patrish is looking to take a break and control but Wright is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wright manages to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patrish wants to get back to his feet.
Wright is looking for a sweep. Patrish is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Wright sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Patrish is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wright is surviving well by controlling Patrish's body position as best he can.

Wright bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wright looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Patrish wants to stand and escape but Wright is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Patrish closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wright circles away.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wright shoots for a takedown but Patrish saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Patrish has closed the distance and engaged Wright in a clinch.

Patrish manages to break the clinch.
Patrish throws a right hand that Wright ducks under and follows up with a left that Wright also avoids with ease.
Wright leaves Patrish with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Wright swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Patrish doesn't manage to clinch there - Wright circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wright lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Jeronigy Patrish has been cut.
Wright tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Patrish manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wright leaves Patrish with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Wright gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Patrish to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Wright bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Patrish's guard.

Clement Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeronigy Patrish.
Patrish is breathing heavily.
Patrish shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wright defends it nicely.
Wright wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Clement Wright will probably get the nod.

Patrish drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Patrish jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wright wants to stand up but Patrish is controlling him.
Patrish won't allow Wright to sweep him here.
Patrish wants to control from the top but Wright keeps moving.
Patrish's corner is telling him to maintain position.
