Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Silverhielm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmonray Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silverhielm comes to the ring accompanied by Theme Tune to Islam. Malapitan has chosen My Time is Now as his entrance music. Pierre Silverhielm has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Pierre Silverhielm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dmonray Malapitan!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silverhielm swings widly with a right hand

and Malapitan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Silverhielm wants to get back to his feet.
Malapitan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Malapitan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silverhielm keeps working.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Malapitan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silverhielm knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Silverhielm might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Malapitan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silverhielm defends it well.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Malapitan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Malapitan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Malapitan wants to control from the top but Silverhielm keeps moving.
Silverhielm is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Malapitan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Silverhielm is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Malapitan is controlling him.
Malapitan trying to control the position from guard on top but Silverhielm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silverhielm has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Silverhielm tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Malapitan stops Silverhielm from standing up.
Malapitan lands a couple of digs.

Silverhielm wants to stand but Malapitan is controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Malapitan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Silverhielm connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Malapitan scrambles back to his feet.
Malapitan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silverhielm sprawls well. Silverhielm wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Malapitan gets slowly back to his feet.
Malapitan darts in looking for a takedown but Silverhielm gets double underhooks and turns Malapitan into the ropes.
Silverhielm moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Silverhielm throws a right and a left that both miss.
Malapitan dives in and grabs Silverhielm's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silverhielm pushes down on Malapitan's head and hops out.
Pierre Silverhielm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmonray Malapitan.
Silverhielm ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Malapitan moves away.
Malapitan is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Silverhielm with a body shot.
Malapitan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silverhielm is fending him off so far but Malapitan persists. Nope, Silverhielm circles away and we're back to standing.
Silverhielm leaves Malapitan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Silverhielm lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Malapitan throws a head kick but Silverhielm moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Malapitan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silverhielm's waist but Silverhielm gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Malapitan off to one side.
Malapitan shoots in looking for a takedown. Silverhielm tries to sprawl out of it but Malapitan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Silverhielm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Malapitan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Malapitan there as he acknowledges the shot.


Malapitan is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Malapitan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Silverhielm is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Malapitan working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pierre Silverhielm will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Silverhielm just misses with a elbow thrown towards Malapitan's brow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malapitan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silverhielm tries to avoid it but Malapitan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silverhielm to the ground. Silverhielm escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Whack! Silverhielm lands a heavy head kick that drops Malapitan. The ref tackles Silverhielm to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Malapitan was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Pierre Silverhielm!
Pierre Silverhielm took some time post fight to say the following; '9/11 was the start of the next Jihad. Don't let it be completed people. Every year which passes more and more Muslims become more and more radical... It's time to fight back.'.
