The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Wickam throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Blondi on the side of the head.
Nice takedown defense from Wickam. No joy for Blondi on that attempt.
Wickam drops down looking for a counter takedown but Blondi sprawls and moves away.
Wickam stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wickam wants it to stay on the feet.

Randall Wickam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Agapit Blondi.
Blondi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Wickam throws a shot from downtown. Blondi moves away and avoids it.
Wickam scores with a crisp jab that stopped Blondi in his tracks.
Blondi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wickam's waist but Wickam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blondi off to one side.
Wickam lands with a straight right. Blondi didn't see that one coming.
Wickam bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Blondi's head.

A jab from Wickam does it's job there.
Wickam circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Blondi to the canvas! Blondi doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Wickam keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
