The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lewis throws a sloppy head kick
and Volpicelli counters with a slapping leg kick.
Lewis lands a head kick. Volpicelli smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Lewis on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lewis throws a lazy head kick
and Volpicelli counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lewis thinking.
Volpicelli feints a jab promting Lewis to slip. Volpicelli then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lewis slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Riley Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheers as Volpicelli lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lewis doesn't seem phased though.
Lewis ducks under a wild hook from Volpicelli.

Volpicelli fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Lewis looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

and Volpicelli counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Volpicelli looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lewis is fending him off so far but Volpicelli persists. Nope, Lewis circles away and we're back to standing.
Lewis plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Lewis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Volpicelli.
Volpicelli connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lewis momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lewis moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Volpicelli throws a leg kick but Lewis sees it coming and moves out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Lewis 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lewis tries a head kick but it misses.
Lewis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lewis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick from Volpicelli lands but Lewis takes it in his stride.
Volpicelli lands with a thumping leg kick.
Volpicelli throws a shot to the body.
Lewis blocks the body kick.
Volpicelli takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lewis misses with a head kick.
Lewis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Volpicelli.

Lewis is rocked!
Lewis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Volpicelli finds it's way round the side to connect with Lewis's head.
Oh Lewis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Volpicelli throws an overhand right that drops Lewis like a sack of potatoes! Volpicelli dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
