Mohamed lands a left and a right that send Abdul crashing to the mat, dazed. Mohamed thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Mohamed Abdul has been cut.

Abdul closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mohamed quickly recovers to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Abdul is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Mohamed tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Mohamed tries to roll over but Abdul keeps him under control.
Abdul is taking a breather. Mohamed says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Abdul is trying for a kimura here. Mohamed looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Abdul wins by kimura!

In his post fight interview, Mohamed Abdul started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
