The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matroskin rushes Lloyd and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Matroskin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lloyd circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lloyd feinted with a counter takedown.
Lloyd doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Matroskin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Matroskin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lloyd clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
I really don't envy Lloyd right now.

Matroskin really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Lloyd.

It looks like Matroskin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Lloyd is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Let's hope that Matroskin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lloyd shoots for a takedown but Matroskin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Matroskin tries to close the distance and clinch but Lloyd swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lloyd tries to keep at a distance but Matroskin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Matroskin struggles to land a body shot inside as Lloyd controls his hands.
Matroskin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Matroskin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Matroskin manages to end up in side control.
Lloyd is letting Matroskin control him for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Matroskin is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lloyd's shoulder. That is not cool.

Matroskin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Matroskin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Matroskin cracks Lloyd with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
