Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Antony Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Manki Keen!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smith stalks Keen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Keen's face. Keen staggers backwards, shaken.
Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from Keen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Smith as Keen shoots in.
Smith was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Antony Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manki Keen.
Smith pushes Keen up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith jumps into guard, dragging Keen to the mat.
Smith looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Keen trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Keen wants to hit a switch here but Smith passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Keen there!
Keen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Keen regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Keen is trying is best to control the position here.
Smith working Keen over with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Keen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Smith trying to control the pace.
Keen trying to hold on to Smith's head to control him but Smith postures up.
Keen is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Smith is staying active.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Keen regains full guard. Nicely done.
Smith content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Keen has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Smith should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Keen has tightened it up now! Smith should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
