The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman avoids the body shot from Lokren.
Coleman shoots for a takedown but Lokren saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lokren feints the counter takedown.
Coleman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lokren tries to avoid it but Coleman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lokren to the ground. Lokren escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lokren keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Coleman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lokren smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Coleman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lokren paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lokren digs a good hook to Coleman's body.
Lokren connects with a body shot that sends Coleman's belly button to the back.

Lokren bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Coleman's head backwards.
Lokren is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Coleman had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Lokren manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Lokren controls Coleman momentarily but Coleman frees himself.
Lokren wants to stand and escape but Coleman is having none of it.
Coleman pushes down on Lokren's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lokren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Coleman wants to work for an arm triangle but Lokren is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

As Lokren looks to move away, Coleman throws a big counter combo bu Lokren just gets out of the way.
Lokren stuns Coleman with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lokren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coleman manages to avoid it.

Lokren's jab looks to have found its range, popping Coleman under the eye.

Coleman shoots in looking for a takedown. Lokren tries to sprawl out of it but Coleman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lokren manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lokren is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Coleman dives in for a single leg takedown but Lokren sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lokren tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Coleman looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Coleman moves forwards but Lokren connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Lokren has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lokren bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lokren tries to move to mount but Coleman blocks the move with his legs.
Coleman manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Coleman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lokren is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman is looking to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Lokren frees his head nicely. Oh but Coleman has switched to an armbar! Lokren is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
