Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Trenton Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Lever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor Lever will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Trenton Todd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Connor Lever!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lever fails with a takedown attempt.
Lever fails to land the takedown.

Lever rushes Todd and presses him up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Todd misses with a hook to the ribs.

Lever manages to break the clinch.
Lever tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Todd swivels and escapes.
Trenton Todd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Lever.
Todd looks for a takedown but Lever sprawls well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Todd tries to keep at a distance but Lever has taken the fight into the clinch.
Todd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Todd pulls Lever into guard.
Lever wants to control from the top but Todd keeps moving.
Todd is controlling Lever's posture.
Todd lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Lever is pulling down on Todd's head. It's preventing any offense from Todd, at least for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lever is on top in guard.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lever postures up in Todd's guard and throws a big left but Todd blocks it.
Todd seems keen to control Lever's posture.
Lever advances to half guard.
Todd trying to control from the bottom.
Todd makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Todd.
Lever is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Lever with a flurry of punches that miss.
Lever being controlled here momentarily.

Todd has his foot on Lever's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lever works his way back into a safe position though.
Todd seems keen to control Lever's posture.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lever trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lever accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Todd slaps away a takedown attempt from Lever, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Todd tries to clinch there but Lever circles away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Todd shoots in for a takedown but Lever shows good takedown defense.
Lever tries to counter by closing the distance.

Lever closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Connor Lever will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A nice leg kick lands there from Lever.
Lever scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Todd dodges the punch combination from Lever.
Lever throws a right and a left that Todd avoids nicely.
Connor Lever seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Todd gets tackled into the cage by Lever. Lever maintains the clinch.
Todd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lever walks away with a smile on his face. Todd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lever takes the fight into the clinch.
Todd lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Lever is trying to drag Todd to the mat but Todd just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Todd tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lever just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lever drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Todd gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lever letting Todd take a breather here.
Todd trying to stall but Lever improves his position.
Todd is pressed up against the cage. Lever has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Todd down to the mat. Todd avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Trenton Todd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Lever.
No luck for Lever with that takedown attempt.
Todd tries to clinch but Lever moves out of range.
As Todd backs off Lever throws a huge counter combo but Todd manages to avoid it all.
Todd slaps away a takedown attempt from Lever, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lever shoots in but no luck this time.
As Lever looks to move away, Todd throws a big counter combo bu Lever just gets out of the way.
Lever is breathing heavily.
Lever shoots in but Todd avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lever shoots in for a double leg but Todd sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Todd looks for a takedown but Lever sprawls well.

Lever drives through and clinches with Todd against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Todd tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lever smiles and moves away.
Lever has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lever throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lever connects with a body shot.
Lever tries for a takedown but Todd circles away easily

and Todd counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Todd is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lever has escaped the position, nice work there.

Todd decides to stand back up. Todd steps back and let's Lever get back to his feet.

Lever takes the fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Todd has hold of one of Lever's legs. Lever is fighting the takedown attempt but Todd gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lever is looking for a triangle but Todd pushes his legs off easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Todd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Todd stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Lever shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Todd as he avoids it easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Todd pushes Lever up against the cage in a clinch.
Todd is trying to pull guard but Lever turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trenton Todd dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Lever misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Todd stuffs the takedown.

Lever has Todd up against the cage in a clinch.
Todd fails to pull guard.
Todd tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lever smiles and moves away.
Todd moves in looking to clinch but Lever pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lever avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lever fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Todd, pushing him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Todd trying to control the position but instead, Lever has worked for underhooks and has pushed Todd into the cage.

Lever has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Todd uses from the top position.
Todd is in close to Lever's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Todd won't allow Lever to get back to his feet.
Lever takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Todd throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Todd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Todd postures up.
Todd makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lever has momentary wrist control but Todd slips an elbow through the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lever wants to sweep here but Todd controlling him for the moment.
Todd throws a big elbow that misses.
Todd content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Todd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lever has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Todd has managed to get both his arms back between Lever's legs - danger averted.

Lever isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Todd stacks Lever on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Todd!

Todd grinds an elbow into Lever's temple.

Todd is trying to get an arm triangle but Lever is defending well.

Todd wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lever, who protects the arm well.
Lever tries to bench press Todd off him but Todd keeps the position.

Todd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Todd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Todd gets to mount! Lever was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lever is bucking up trying to escape but Todd cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Todd breaks from Lever's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Lever bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Todd keeping moving, preventing Lever from controlling successfully.
Trenton Todd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Todd pulls Lever in to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Trenton Todd showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Todd has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
