Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Cousteau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cousteau comes to the cage accompanied by 20000 Leagues Under the Sea - The Monster Attacks . Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Cousteau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Cousteau looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It seemed like Gunn was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Gunn cracks Cousteau with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We've been hearing reports that Cousteau has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Cousteau walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cousteau is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gunn defends well.

Gunn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cousteau has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gunn has managed to get both his arms back between Cousteau's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gunn is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Cousteau has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Cousteau changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gunn tries to avoid it but Cousteau manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gunn to the ground. Gunn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gunn felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Cousteau drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gunn looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gunn looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gunn!

Well Gunn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
