The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams gets a takedown into half guard.
My spies in The Beast inform me that Williams has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Williams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Williams is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Clendennon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Clendennon has escaped and now he's on top!

Clendennon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Williams is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Williams is pulling down on Clendennon's head. It's preventing any offense from Clendennon, at least for the moment.

Williams is trying to keep Clendennon in close.
Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Clendennon's guard.

Williams slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Clendennon throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

I would just about give that final round to Austin Williams.
