The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrestling circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wrestling has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
McCarthy darts in looking for a takedown but Wrestling gets double underhooks and turns McCarthy into the ropes.
Wrestling throws a series of punches but McCarthy moves out of range.
McCarthy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McCarthy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McCarthy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wrestling defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grope McCarthy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
