The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mental as he jumps to the side.
Whitley throws a sloppy head kick
and Mental counters with a crisp one two that drops Whitley! Mental thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Whitley to his feet! Whitley is in big trouble!
A shot to the liver by Mental. Beautiful body shot.
Mental closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Whitley quickly recovers to half guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mental in particular looking to stall.

Well Mental has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
