PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeus Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mason throws out the jab.

Zeus Leonidas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Mason.

Leonidas has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mason clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Mason felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Mason looks for a takedown but Leonidas sprawls well.
Leonidas swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

And Mason tries to counter it with a takedown but Leonidas pushes his down on his head and steps out.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zeus Leonidas.
Well Leonidas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
