Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathis slips a jab from Aluko.
Mathis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Aluko.
Mathis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aluko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mathis somewhat.
Mathis ducks under a wild hook from Aluko.
Mathis throws a big counter combination but Aluko scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Aluko. Mathis does a little dance to reset his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Aluko enables Mathis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Aluko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Aluko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Aluko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mathis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Aluko throws out the jab.
Mathis seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Mathis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Aluko clinches up with Mathis and pushes him back against the cage.
Aluko lands with a left to the head.
Aluko lands a nice uppercut.

Aluko lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mathis backwards.
Mathis is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aluko makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Oh Mathis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aluko unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Mathis! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Aluko is unloading with more strikes now! Mathis drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Aluko!
