Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Temitope Obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teddy Bass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Teddy Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Temitope Obama!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Obama is looking to clinch.
Bass thuds his right hand into Obama's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Obama has closed the distance and engaged Bass in a clinch.
Bass wants a takedown but no success here.
Obama throws a punch but it's blocked by Bass.

Obama is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bass is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Obama to the mat. Obama regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Obama is trying to control the position but Bass postures up.

Bass avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bass trying to control but Obama is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bass works over Obama with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bass tries to free his leg and advance position but Obama is retaining full guard.

Obama had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bass defends it easily.

Obama is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bass is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Obama is trying to control Bass's posture but Bass avoids it.

Bass has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

and Bass finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Obama trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bass's guard.
Obama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bass swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bass is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Obama doesn't manage to clinch there - Bass circles away.
Bass closes this distance looking for a takedown but Obama circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Our sources have told us that Bass has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
The referee calls for Obama to work.
Temitope Obama has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Obama throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bass blocks it with crossed arms.
Bass blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Bass tries to pull guard but Obama holds him up against the cage and eventually Bass drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teddy Bass. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Obama misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bass.
Obama keeps control of Bass as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Bass breaks the clinch.
Obama stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bass lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Obama misses with a few strikes there.
Bass avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Obama cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice sprawl there from Obama as Bass shoots in.
Teddy Bass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bass looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Obama is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Temitope Obama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
