The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Brooks lands an impressive looking overhand right. Utah doesn't seem phased though.
Brooks looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Utah shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brooks as he jumps to the side.
Utah blocks a head kick by Brooks.

Utah has clasped his hands together around Brooks's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Utah has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Utah closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brooks's guard.
Brooks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Utah on the ground.

Utah seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Utah is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Utah is pushing down on Brooks's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brooks is fighting to maintain full guard but Utah has managed to sneak the leg through.

Utah frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Utah quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Utah but it's paid off an Brooks is forced to tap! Nice work by Utah.
