PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tat Moh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and A J Hearts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tat Moh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, A J Hearts!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Hearts as he checks the leg kick.

Moh tries to keep at a distance but Hearts has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hearts tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Moh's elbow.
Moh tries to work over Hearts's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Moh lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Moh.
A head punch on the inside from Hearts fails to land.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Hearts.
Moh is trying to drag Hearts to the mat but Hearts just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hearts misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hearts lands a shoulder strike.
We've been hearing reports that Moh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Hearts blocks an uppercut.
Hearts throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mohs head.


It looks like Tat Moh has been cut.
Hearts lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Moh stalling in the clinch but Hearts improves position.
Hearts fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hearts tries for a takedown but Moh manages to get underhooks.
Moh has a couple of punches blocked by Hearts.
A short body shot lands from Moh as the two fighters clinch.
Hearts softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hearts.
Moh misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Hearts lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Hearts turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hearts remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hearts looks up at the clock and then as Moh takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hearts smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Moh sneaks back into half guard.
Moh is looking for a sweep. Hearts is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hearts is looking to take a break and control but Moh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hearts is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Moh!
BOOM! Hearts connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Moh can't escape the position.
Hearts trying to control but Moh is having none of it.
Hearts postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Moh looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tat Moh's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). A J Hearts!
A J Hearts decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Tat Moh was interviewed post fight and said 'Defeat is a state of mind - no one is ever defeated until defeat has been accepted as a reality.'.
