Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jayson Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dengkol Dewa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jayson Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dengkol Dewa!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Dewa or perhaps it was just good defense by Ramirez, which made it look bad.
As Dewa looks to move away, Ramirez throws a big counter combo bu Dewa just gets out of the way.
Ramirez has a takedown stuffed.

Ramirez is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Dewa.

Dewa has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dewa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramirez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ramirez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dewa is proving hard to escape from.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramirez tries to stand but Dewa is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Dewa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramirez tries to avoid it but Dewa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramirez to the ground. Ramirez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jayson Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dengkol Dewa.
Dewa misses with an uppercut. Ramirez saw that one coming.
Ramirez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dewa defends well and Ramirez ends up having to push Dewa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Dewa shoots in but Ramirez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dewa closes the distance and pushes Ramirez back into the cage.
Dewa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ramirez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Dewa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dewa as he jumps to the side.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A chopping leg kick lands by Dewa.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dewa shoots in for a takedown but Ramirez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dewa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ramirez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ramirez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dewa was well out of range. Poor timing from Ramirez.

Dengkol Dewa seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Ramirez throws a strike aimed at the side of Dewa's head but Dewa avoids it well.
Ramirez wants to stand but Dewa is controlling his arm.

Dewa parries the strikes from Ramirez easily there. Ramirez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dewa to escape.
