The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws a leg kick but Perkovic sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hughes rushes Perkovic and presses him up against the cage.
Hughes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Perkovic throws a push kick but Hughes slaps the foot to one side.
Perkovic shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Perkovic showed some decent athleticism there.
Hughes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Perkovic pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Perkovic in particular looking to stall.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Hughes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Perkovic is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hughes, into his guard.

Hughes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Perkovic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Perkovic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Perkovic jumps guard and drags Hughes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Perkovic has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hughes is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Perkovic.

Hughes is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Perkovic knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Perkovic. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Perkovic manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Perkovic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hughes keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hughes moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hughes has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Perkovic should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hughes has tightened it up now! Perkovic should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
