The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustaffson shoots in for a takedown but Brawler shows good takedown defense.
Brawler throws an overhand right that lands on Gustaffson's shoulder, as Gustaffson tries to avoid the shot.
Brawler misses with an attempted mid kick.
Brawler is looking to chop away at Gustaffson's legs.

Gustaffson shoots in looking for a takedown. Brawler tries to sprawl out of it but Gustaffson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brawler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gustaffson or perhaps it was just good defense by Brawler, which made it look bad.
Brawler raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Brawler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Gustaffson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brawler quickly recovers to half guard.

Brawler defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Gustaffson.

Brawler stops Gustaffson from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Brawler has given up his back. Will we see Gustaffson going for some submissions?

Gustaffson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

A relieved looking Alexander Gustaffson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
