Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Little Hardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Star Dust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dust has chosen Die for Metal as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Little Hardon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dust comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dust uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hardon.
Hardon takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Dust moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Hardon as Dust shoots in.
Dust lands with a thumping leg kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dust.
Dust goes for a double leg but Hardon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hardon continues to drive forward.
Little Hardon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Star Dust.

Dust looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hardon!

Dust wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hardon keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hardon is trying to get back to half guard.
Hardon is not content to let Dust control the position.
Dust is working Hardon over with some ground and pound from side control.
Hardon can't do much from the bottom here.
Hardon is pushing Dust's head away, looking to escape. Dust manages to hold on to the position though.

Dust is looking to take a break and control but Hardon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hardon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dust wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dust has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hardon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dust asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dust tries to advance to mount but Hardon denies him.

Dust creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Hardon is not content to let Dust control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hardon wants to get back to his feet but Dust drags him back down.
Hardon tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dust presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Hardon is trying desperately to improve position.
Dust lands a heavy elbow.
Dust lands a big shot there that rocks Hardon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hardon wants to control but Dust is having none of it.

Dust working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Hardon avoids a series of strikes thrown by Dust.
Hardon is desperately trying to improve his position but Dust has a good base and remains in mount.
Dust lands a couple of good shots and Hardon has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dust punches the canvas rather than the man.
Dust throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Dust trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Hardon is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Dust misses with a punch to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Star Dust dominated that round.

Dust fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hardon on the side of the head.
Dust lands the left hand.
Dust thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hardon appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Dust connects with a looping right hand.
Dust connects with a solid leg kick.
Hardon throws a chopping leg kick but Dust manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Hardon blocks a head kick by Dust.
Dust tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hardon was well out of range. Poor timing from Dust.
Dust throws a shot from downtown. Hardon moves away and avoids it.
Hardon feinted with a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dust scores with the left hand. Hardon knows he should have avoided that one.
Nice shot lands for Dust.
Hardon takes one on the button.
Dust throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hardon's head.

Dust checks a leg kick.
Hardon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dust paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dust avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dust lands a jab.
Dust fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dust lands an overhand right.
Hardon needs to keep his hands up - Dust had a free shot at his head there.
We've been told by Hardon's head coaches at Restricted area that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Dust throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hardon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Dust is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Dust lands with an uppercut that bounces Hardon off the cage and back into range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dust.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Dust. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Dust swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hardon.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dust throws a nice outside leg kick.
Dust throws a front kick that sends Hardon stumbling back into the cage.
Dust with a nice cross.
Dust throws a solid leg kick but Hardon takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Dust.
Dust fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dust throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Dust has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hardon wants to clinch.
Hardon looks to throw a body kick

and Dust decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hardon's guard.
Dust stands and throws Hardon's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Dust cracks Hardon with a big right hand but Hardon just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Dust works to advance to full mount. Hardon defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Dust is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hardon to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hardon shrugs it off.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Star Dust showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Dust misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A clash of legs there as Hardon blocks the low kick.
Hardon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dust.
Star Dust seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hardon throws a head kick but Dust moves out of range.
Dust scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hardon throws a sloppy head kick and Dust moves out of range easily.
And Dust tries to counter it with a takedown but Hardon pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hardon walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hardon moves in looking to clinch but Dust pushes him off.
Nice straight punches there by Dust. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dust.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dust lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hardon circles away quickly and effectively.
Dust tests Hardon's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dust keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hardon.

and Hardon counters with a stiff right hand.

Hardon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Dust is looking to slow Hardon down with leg kicks.
Nice uppercut lands for Dust. That snapped Hardon's head back.
Dust scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hardon doesn't seem bothered though.
Dust has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Dust pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hardon is out of range and Dust settles back down.

Hardon on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Dust throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hardon's head.
Hardon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dust goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hardon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dust lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hardon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hardon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Donk. Dust catches Hardon right on the button with a cross.

Dust shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dust won't allow Hardon to get back to his feet.
Dust missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hardon wants to stand up but Dust is controlling him.

Dust trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dust throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hardon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dust postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hardon keeping moving, preventing Dust from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hardon avoids the body shot from Dust.
Dust looks for a takedown but Hardon sprawls well.
A punch lands to the side of Hardon 's head but he takes it in his stride.

A solid leg kick lands there for Hardon.
Dust pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hardon back to the cage. Dust follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Dust stuns Hardon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Dust throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hardon.
Dust uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hardon has time to react.
Hardon throws a hook but Dust avoids it easily.
Little Hardon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hardon on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

and Dust counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hardon is looking to stand up but Dust isn't so interested in that idea.
Little Hardon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dust postures up in Hardon's guard and throws a big left but Hardon blocks it.

Star Dust comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dust has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
