Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Lindsay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Mcgregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mac Mcgregor!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgregor tries to clinch up but Lindsay circles away and keeps his distance.
Mcgregor scores with a jab.


It looks like Lionel Lindsay has been cut.
Mcgregor moves in looking to clinch but Lindsay pushes him off.
Lindsay circles away from the clinch attempt.

Mcgregor throws a right hand that Lindsay ducks under and follows up with a left that Lindsay also avoids with ease.

Mcgregor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lindsay crunches a lovely knee into Mcgregor's ribcage.

Lindsay keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mcgregor's efforts to push away.

Lindsay pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lindsay lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Lindsay.
Mcgregor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lindsay swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lindsay was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lindsay lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Mcgregor misses with a series of wild punches.
Lindsay swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Lindsay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mcgregor sprawls well initially but Lindsay persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lindsay is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lindsay stops Mcgregor from getting back to his feet.
Lindsay is trying to control the action in half guard but Mcgregor is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lindsay is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mcgregor has managed to free his arm - good work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lindsay missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Mcgregor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lindsay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lindsay looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mcgregor with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcgregor can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mcgregor wants to get back to his feet.

Lindsay has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Lindsay is working for a guillotine from mount but Mcgregor frees his head quite easily.
Lindsay postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mcgregor looks a forlorn figure.

Lindsay working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Mcgregor takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Lindsay lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


Mcgregor is rocked!
Lindsay landing strikes from the mount and Mcgregor is in trouble!
Mcgregor is still in real trouble! Can Lindsay finish him?

Lindsay won't let Mcgregor get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Lindsay tries to control but Mcgregor wriggling away.
Mcgregor seems to have recovered his senses.

Mcgregor is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Lindsay locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Mcgregor is forced to tap!
