Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Furth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Stallings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Furth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Stallings!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stallings shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Furth defends it nicely.
Stallings tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Furth counters with a shoot takedown. Stallings fights it but they end up in guard.
Stallings is trying to keep Furth in close.
Furth passes Stallings's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Stallings tries to get to full guard but Furth has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Well, if Furth is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Furth is working for a submission of some sort.
Stallings trying to control from the bottom.
Furth takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Furth tries to pass to full mount but Stallings defends it.
Furth is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Furth is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stallings is pressing down on Furth's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Stallings looking for a sweep. Not yet Stallings, not yet.
Stallings is trying to control the position but Furth postures up.
Furth advances to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Furth is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Furth seems to be working for a kimura but Stallings defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Furth trying to pass the guard but Stallings defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Furth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stallings is just riding it out for now. Furth eventually gives up the hold.
Furth looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Stallings wants to control but Furth is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Furth is trying to work for a kimura but Stallings is defending well.

Furth is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Furth sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Furth is thwarting Stallings's attempts to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Furth slows the pace down in half guard.
Furth has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

William Furth dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Stallings tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Furth swivels and escapes.
Stallings swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Furth counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stallings is trying to improve his position.
Furth is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Stallings can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Furth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stallings keeps working.

Furth has hold of Stallings's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Stallings tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Furth cranks the arm and Stallings screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stallings, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). William Furth!
William Furth decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
