Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brick Tires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kersikov's choice of entrance music: Avicii - Wake Me Up ft Aloe Blacc. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tires misses with a hook. Kersikov ducked under it nicely.
Kersikov doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Tires has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Humboldt Park Elite Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Kersikov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tires moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Good leg kick by Kersikov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tires scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kersikov doesn't seem bothered though.

Tires throws out a leg kick but Kersikov moves out of range and Tires only half commits.
Kersikov now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Kersikov lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Tires up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Kersikov from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Tires's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

During a confident post fight interview, Andrei Kersikov thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
