Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Volcanic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volcanic comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac ft stretch-Under Pressure. Marsden has chosen Feiticeira by Deftones as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volcanic misses with an uppercut. Marsden saw that one coming.
Marsden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Volcanic throws a body shot but no joy.
Marsden follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Marsden is looking to land body kicks.
Volcanic lands a lovely overhand right.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Marsden.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Marsden has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Volcanic is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marsden isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Volcanic stacks Marsden on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Volcanic!

The crowd cheers as Marsden lands an impressive looking overhand right. Volcanic doesn't seem phased though.

Good leg kick by Volcanic there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Danny Volcanic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Volcanic counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Marsden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
