Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alphonse Tchami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tero Karhula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karhula has chosen Will Smith - Men In Black as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alphonse Tchami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tero Karhula!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Karhula.
Karhula throws a hook to the side of Tchami's head but Tchami sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tchami appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Tchami drives through and clinches with Karhula against the cage.
Tchami throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Tchami lands an elbow just above Karhula 's eye.
Karhula is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tchami gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Tchami swings wildly with an uppercut but Karhula uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tchami misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Tchami pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Tchami throws an elbow that misses.

Karhula wants the takedown. Tchami is fighting it off but Karhula persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tchami's guard against the cage.
Karhula works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Karhula not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Karhula throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tchami wants to improve his position but Karhula is controlling well.

Tchami looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Karhula working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Karhula is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tchami tries to roll over but Karhula keeps him under control.
Karhula is keen to just control but Tchami is a slippery customer.
Tchami is trying to control but can't.
Karhula looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Karhula passes to side control.
Karhula tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Tchami manages to work his way to half guard, despite Karhula's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tchami is not content to let Karhula control the position.
Karhula is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tchami avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Karhula.
Tchami tries to get to full guard but Karhula has control of the leg.
Karhula wants to pass the guard but Tchami is defending well.
Tchami gets back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karhula looking to pass the guard.
Karhula is looking to work some ground and pound but Tchami has wrist control.
Karhula sitting in guard here, content to control.
Tchami is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tchami is on top in guard.

Karhula manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tchami manages to get himself to full guard.

Tchami is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tchami can't keep his opponent in guard - Karhula advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Tchami is in trouble now - Karhula has advanced to mount!

Karhula lands a big shot there that rocks Tchami but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Karhula has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tchami tries to hold on but Karhula postures up.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tero Karhula thanked the fans post fight for their support.
Alphonse Tchami was interviewed post fight and said 'It's disappointing, but I'll train hard and come back stronger next time.'.
