Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Karim Bashorov and Ground Guru. Bashorov comes to the cage accompanied by Hangar 18. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bashorov lands a lovely overhand right.
Guru takes a jab right on the kisser.
Guru moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Bashorov throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Guru tumbling to the canvas!

Guru is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bashorov scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Guru is still in real trouble! Can Bashorov finish him?
Guru utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Guru working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bashorov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bashorov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bashorov throws a big elbow that misses.
Guru seems to have recovered his senses.
Bashorov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Bashorov lands a couple of digs.
Bashorov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Guru is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bashorov trying to control but Guru is working from the bottom.
Bashorov is looking to work some ground and pound but Guru has wrist control.

Bashorov drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Bashorov seems to have locked his on tight now - Guru screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Bashorov, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Karim Bashorov!
